Here are some ideas about gaining a greater acceptance of your unsatisfied addictive desire:

– it’s a healing feeling
– this feeling is the way I recover (my life, health, sanity, etc)
– it’s my path to freedom
– this feeling means I get be in control of (break free from) my addictive overeating
– it’s a trade-off
– it will never harm me (quite the reverse, it could save my life)
– if I’m willing to feel it, it won’t be able to overwhelm me or make me do anything
– the more I let it be and allow it to be here, the easier it will become

The aim would be to take one or more of these statements that has meaning to you and say them to yourself at the appropriate times. If anyone has any more ideas along these lines, please post below!
